This is a pattern that can be changed with different colors and hackle and\u00a0this is how I tie them to ensure maximum durability during\u00a0fishing.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hook<\/strong>: TMC 777SP #8<br \/>\n<strong>Thread<\/strong>: UNI 6\/0<br \/>\n<strong>Tail<\/strong>: Whiting Hackle tips<br \/>\n<strong>Body<\/strong>: Hareline Ice Dub<br \/>\n<strong>Body Hackle<\/strong>: Whiting<br \/>\n<strong>Rib<\/strong>: Copper\u00a0Wire<br \/>\n<strong>Front Hackle<\/strong>: Foxtail Hen\u00a0Red<br \/>\n<strong>Eyes<\/strong>: Bead Chain Gold\u00a0Medium<\/p>\n<p><strong>1<\/strong>. start with thread from the hook eye and add a layer\u00a0back and then towards the eye again. Add a pair of bead chain eyes, here I have used a medium gold version, but can be substituted with different sizes and colors. The first copper wrap here is keeping the hackle down and secures it\u00a0in place. Wrap the hackle 2-3-4 times (depending on how much hackle you want and the profile you want the fly to have) and tie it in just behind the eyes.
