I enjoy these as they are digging up patterns that I wouldn&#8217;t normally go for immediately, and you get to see the different interpretations of the same pattern.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/flypattern.org\/authors\/francis-francis\/book\/a-book-on-angling\/pattern\/black-and-teal\">Black and Teal<\/a> is from <a href=\"http:\/\/flypattern.org\/authors\/francis-francis\/\">Francis Francis<\/a> &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/flypattern.org\/authors\/francis-francis\/book\/a-book-on-angling\">A book on angling<\/a>&#8220;, and appears in &#8220;Farlows Salmon Flies&#8221;, where the first body section also is described with yellow or red instead of the orange from Francis. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Tag<\/strong>: Silver twist and golden floss<\/li><li><strong>Tail<\/strong>: Golden pheasant topping<\/li><li><strong>Butt<\/strong>: Black herl<\/li><li><strong>Body<\/strong>: Two turns of orange floss, then black (either floss, horsehair, mohair, or sewing silk), in large flies fur is often used<\/li><li><strong>Rib<\/strong>: Broadish siver tinsel<\/li><li><strong>Hackle<\/strong>: black over three parts of the body<\/li><li><strong>Throat<\/strong>: Gallina &#8211; black with large white dots<\/li><li><strong>Wing<\/strong>:\n Double jungle-cock with a golden pheasant topping over.
