You can tell that I have gone from dryfly to salt focus the last month here as the season have shifted, and these short trips where you don&#8217;t have to hike for hours to get to the really good places is a good thing to have since the sun sets earlier and earlier these days.<\/p>\n<p>I had one seatrout follow all the way in to the tip of my rod (I physically didn&#8217;t have more tippet to pull &#8211; it was that close) before it turned and slowly found its way out into the dark, and another heavy *<strong>thug<\/strong>* on a <a href=\"http:\/\/dryfly.me\/2013\/09\/white-zonker\/\">white rabbit zonker<\/a> that at least proved that the area have fish.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/dryfly.me\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/dryfly.me_.2013.09.21.afternoon_fishing_2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-991\" alt=\"OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA\" src=\"http:\/\/dryfly.me\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/dryfly.me_.2013.09.21.afternoon_fishing_2-768x1024.jpg\" width=\"642\" height=\"856\" srcset=\"https:\/\/flyfisher.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/dryfly.me_.2013.09.21.afternoon_fishing_2-768x1024.jpg 768w, https:\/\/flyfisher.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/dryfly.me_.2013.09.21.afternoon_fishing_2-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/flyfisher.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/dryfly.me_.2013.09.21.afternoon_fishing_2-157x210.jpg 157w, https:\/\/flyfisher.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/dryfly.me_.2013.09.21.afternoon_fishing_2.jpg 1536w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 642px) 100vw, 642px\" \/><\/a>After a couple of hours with nothing to show for it was the sunset that kept me there for the last hour &#8211; clear blue sky, no wind to talk of and a sun that slowly shifted the colors of the sky.
